Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that Joao Felix won’t be playing against Manchester United tomorrow.
The Portugal international has been a regular starter for the Blues since his loan move from Atletico Madrid in January.
However, he won’t be available for the Old Trafford trip after withdrawing from last weekend’s game with a minor injury.
Speaking in today’s press conference, Lampard said that the Portuguese could be involved in the final game of the campaign.
He said: “Joao [Felix] had a small injury at the weekend and he is back involved.”
United and Chelsea have played out stalemates in the last five outings but the former should be favourites for tomorrow.
The Red Devils have had a superb home record this campaign and should offer a difficult challenge for an out of form Chelsea side.Chelsea are set to finish in the bottom half of the Premier League table regardless of what happens against United on the road.
