Manchester United could trump Arsenal in the race to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice this summer, according to The Sun.
Arsenal have identified Rice as their main midfield target and they are expected to make a formal bid after the Europa Conference League final.
An offer worth £90 million will be placed on the table but The Sun claim that the Hammers could demand more than £100m for their midfielder.
It is added that United could beat the Gunners to the 24-year-old’s signature by proposing a player-plus-cash deal involving Scott McTominay.
United currently value the 26-year-old at £40m and they could offer him alongside £60-70m in cash to sign the Hammers captain this summer.
Rice has yet to make a decision regarding his future but he is widely expected to leave the Hammers for a bigger challenge in England.
Bayern Munich are also interested in securing his services but Rice has a clear intention to continue in the Premier League next season.
