Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has no plans of accepting a bumper contract offer from Saudi Arabia.
The Spain international has been a key player for the Red Devils for the past 12 years and he is close to an extension.
De Gea’s current contract expires at the end of June, but talks are at an advanced stage over a new three-year deal.
It is now reported by The Telegraph that De Gea plans to continue with United despite the temptation from Saudi.
The former Atletico man could earn a staggering €100m per year in Saudi, but he is prepared to stay put at Old Trafford.
De Gea is expected to accept a 40 per cent pay cut on his current wages to commit his short-term future to United.
Irrespective of this, United are on the hunt for a young goalkeeper, who could become their next number one.
Porto’s Diogo Costa is the main transfer target, but he won’t come on the cheap with a price tag of €75 million.
