Manchester United are determined to sign Napoli defender Kim Min-jae at the earliest possibility.
The South Korean had a fantastic debut season with the Serie A outfit, but he could leave them in the coming weeks.
Min-jae has a foreign release clause of £54m in his contract which is expected to become active in the first 15 days of July.
United are well aware of the buy-out clause and they are already holding talks with the centre-back through his entourage.
Min-jae is currently in South Korea for three weeks of mandatory military training. He will be available for a transfer next month.
Erik ten Hag will be hoping that United can secure an agreement before their pre-season tour begins against Leeds United.
The Red Devils are aiming to make multiple signings in the summer. A striker and a central midfielder are among the priorities.
A goalkeeper could also be pursued. It may highly depend on whether they can recoup sufficient funds from player sales.
