Manchester United have no desire to part ways with centre-back Victor Lindelof in the upcoming transfer window.
The Swede was a fringe player for the Red Devils last season until injuries to Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane in March.
He went on to start the final 12 games of the campaign and BILD claim that Erik ten Hag was hugely impressed with him.
Eintracht Frankfurt want to sign the Swede in the summer, but Ten Hag has made it clear that the centre-back won’t be sold.
Lindelof’s current deal with the club expires in June next year but the club have the option to extend his stay for 12 months.
Talks are planned over a new long-term contract with him, but it is unlikely that he will put pen-to-paper on an extension.
Lindelof could return to the bench next term with Martinez’s return to full fitness. He may not be content with a back-up role for long.
The defender may push for an exit in 12 months’ time.
