It is now reported by A Bola that United have stepped up talks to sign Costa from Porto this month.
Porto currently need to balance their books by June 30, and they are willing to cash in on their keeper.
He currently has a release clause worth €75m, but United are hoping for a discount for an early deal.Chelsea have also been linked with the 23-year-old, but they are unlikely to convince him to join them.
Costa has plans of playing in the Champions League which Chelsea can’t offer for at least one season.
United are working on a limited budget this summer, but they are still keen on securing early signings.
