Arsenal are reportedly favourites to sign Moussa Diaby ahead of Manchester United and Chelsea this summer.
The north London giants attempted to land the France international in January, but a deal did not materialise.
They are planning to try again this summer, and L’Equipe claim that they have the upper hand in the transfer pursuit.
Diaby was outstanding for Bayer Leverkusen last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists from 47 games.
The 23-year-old largely played from the right side of the attack, but he is also comfortable operating from the left wing.
If he were to move to Arsenal, he would provide serious competition to Bukayo Saka for the right wing role next term.
Diaby is currently valued at €80 million by Leverkusen, but Arsenal will be hoping to lower the price for his signature.Granit Xhaka has already agreed terms with the German outfit, and he could be used as a bargaining chip for Diaby.
Diaby has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, but their focus could change with Kylian Mbappe’s contract stance.
Mbappe’s current deal expires next summer after declining a one-year renewal. PSG could sell him to sign a new striker.
