Arsenal have failed with a second bid to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, according to The Athletic.
The Gunners are determined to land the England international this summer, but they are yet to convince the Hammers.
The club recently made a second bid of £75m plus £15m in add-ons, but the proposal has been rebuffed immediately.
The Hammers are looking for a package of £100m for their captain, and want Arsenal to include easily achievable bonuses.
As thing stand, there is no concrete interest from elsewhere, but reports claim that Manchester City are monitoring Rice’s situation.
The Cityzens are currently in talks with Chelsea to land Mateo Kovacic. They have proposed to pay around £20m up front.
If a deal does not materialise, there are claims that they could make a serious move to land Rice from the east Londoners.
Manchester United are also interested in the 24-year-old, but they don’t have sufficient budget to compete with Arsenal.
