Chelsea have reached an agreement to sell midfielder Mateo Kovacic to Manchester City this summer.
The Croatia international has been a key player in the centre of the park for the Blues, but he is set to move on.
His current contract expires in the summer of 2024, and reports claim that City are on the cusp of landing his signature.
The Premier League champions have agreed a fixed fee of £25m to purchase the 29-year-old with a further £5m in add-ons.
Kovacic has already agreed personal terms with City, and he is expected to undergo his medical in the next couple of days.
The former Real Madrid man is expected to fill the void left by Ilkay Gundogan, who has agreed to join Barcelona.
Gundogan’s deal with City expires at the end of the month, and he has signed a two-year contract with the Catalans.Arsenal were also interested in the German, but he chose to pursue a new challenge abroad with the La Liga champions.
