Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz this summer.
The Gunners opened talks for the Germany international earlier this month, and they have managed to finalise a quick deal.
Their opening bid of £50m was turned down by the Blues. They have now made a proposal of £65m that has been accepted.
Havertz has already agreed personal terms with the Gunners and he is expected to travel to London Colney for his medical.
The 24-year-old is set to become the Gunners’ first signing of the summer and his arrival has definitely surprised some fans.
Havertz had a tough 2022/23 season with the Blues where he scored just nine goals from over 45 appearances in all competitions.
Despite this, manager Mikel Arteta has recommended his signing and the Spaniard believes Havertz can unlock his full potential.
The ex-Bayer Leverkusen star is likely to play as a centre-forward next season, but could also operate from the wider attacking positions.
