Youssoufa Moukoko has put to bed rumours that he will be departing Borussia Dortmund this summer, and instead signed a new contract extension with the club until 2026. The talented 18-year-old has been monitored by numerous Premier League sides, including Man Utd and Chelsea, but has now opted to sign a further two years to his current deal after more than two months of negotiations.
Moukoko came through FC St Pauli’s youth ranks in 2014, before a move to Dortmund followed two years later.
The German international, who has played in 44 Bundesliga games and scored 11 goals, is seen as one of the brightest prospects in Europe. Moukoko so far has two caps to his name, but has impressed at every youth level for his country.
After signing the deal, the attacker told the press: “It is no secret that I feel well at Dortmund. I played youth football here, took my first steps in professional football and now I am ready to take the next step in my development together with the club.”
