Manchester United are targeting a move for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana after ending their interest in Diogo Costa.
The Red Devils have been firm admirers of Costa over the past year, and they have watched him in action for Porto several times.
However, they have now decided against making an approach for his services as Porto are reluctant to lower their demands for him.
Costa currently has a release clause worth £64m in his contract and Porto are quite clear that they won’t accept anything less for him.
As a result, United have decided to cool their pursuit of the 23-year-old, and they are looking to pursue Onana from the Nerazzurri.
Onana has already worked with manager Erik ten Hag at former club Ajax for four years, and he is open to reuniting with the Dutchman.
Inter are willing to sanction his sale for £50m including add-ons and he is deemed an affordable option for United compared to Costa.
