Serie A giants AC Milan have completed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The England international has been on the club’s radar for the past few months, and they have now reached a formal agreement.
The Rossoneri will pay an initial €15 million for the Blues graduate with a further €5m in the form of performance-based add-ons.
Loftus-Cheek could be a straightforward replacement for Sandro Tonali, who is expected to join Newcastle United for €70m soon.
The 27-year-old has been a good squad player for the Blues, and he now has the opportunity to cement a regular starting role with Milan.
The likes of Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud have excelled after leaving the Blues for Milan. Loftus-Cheek will be hoping for the same.
Aside from Loftus-Cheek, the Rossoneri have also opened the door to signing Christian Pulisic from the Blues for a cut-price fee.
Pulisic’s current deal expires at the end of next season. The San Siro giants are prepared to buy him for €23m. The Blues want €29m.
