Chelsea are reportedly leading the race to sign RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol next summer.
The Blues recently finalised an agreement to sign Christopher Nkunku from Leipzig and he will join the club next summer.
Their focus has now turned to his teammate Gvardiol, and Marca claim that they are front-runners to sign him as well.
Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the centre-back, but it is claimed that Chelsea are favourites.
The Blues attempted to land the 20-year-old from Leipzig last summer, but their highest bid of €90m was turned down.
Gvardiol went on to sign a new long-term deal and it is likely that Leipzig will demand over €100m for him in future.
With ambitious owners, Chelsea will gladly pay the fee, but the question is whether Gvardiol will agree terms with them.
Gvardiol could snub the prospect of joining the club in case they don’t qualify for the Champions League next season.
