Arsenal are expected to focus on the transfer of Jurrien Timber from Ajax after the purchase of West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.
The Gunners have already signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea for £65 million, and they are set to secure the signing of Rice very soon.
The club made a British record bid of £105m for him yesterday, and the Hammers are currently sorting the payment terms with them.
Once that happens, the north London giants are expected to switch their attention to Timber, who has already agreed personal terms.
The Dutchman is determined to join the Gunners this summer and talks are already underway with Ajax over the final fee to purchase him.Arsenal’s opening offer of around £30m was rejected by the Dutch side, but it is anticipated that a transfer could be finalised for £40m.
Timber has also been linked with Bayern in recent days, but the versatile defender has a clear aim of signing for Mikel Arteta’s side.
