Manchester United have scheduled a medical for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount on Monday, according to The Telegraph.
The Red Devils recently reached an agreement with the Blues to sign the 24-year-old. They will pay £55 million with a further £5m in add-ons.
The Blues have granted Mount permission to negotiate with United, and the process could be straightforward with personal terms agreed.
Mount is set to earn wages of around £250,000-a-week at Old Trafford, and his salary could rise to £300,000-a-week with bonuses.
The England international is currently on holiday, but he is anticipated to report to Carrington for his medical tests on Monday.
United’s pre-season training will begin on Tuesday. There is a high possibility that Mount will be involved from the first session.
Aside from Mount, United are pushing to land the services of Andre Onana from Inter Milan. An initial offer could be made very soon.
The Nerazzurri are quite clear that they won’t sanction his departure for anything less than £52m, but are willing to accept add-ons.
