Manchester United have made an opening bid to sign Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Red Devils are on the hunt for a new centre-forward, and Hojlund is one of the top names on their summer wishlist.
It is now reported that the club recently made an opening offer of €35m for the Dane, but the proposal was rejected.
Atalanta are aware of the potential of the 20-year-old, and they plan to demand €45m plus €12m in add-ons for him.
United are expected to make a renewed approach for the marksman, but they could face stiff competition from Juventus.
The Bianconeri are currently open to parting ways with Dusan Vlahovic, who is on the radar of Chelsea and Bayern.
If the Serbian were to leave the club, they could make a serious attempt to land Hojlund from the Bergamo-based club.
Hojlund prefers a move to the Premier League with United, but he could also be tempted to stay in Italy with Juventus.
