Inter Milan are planning to propose an offer to re-sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku on a permanent basis this summer.
The Belgian star rejoined the Nerazzurri on loan last season. He contributed 14 goals and provided seven assists from 37 games.
Lukaku was not at his best until the final weeks, but the Nerazzurri are now prepared to re-sign him on a permanent deal.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri have no plans of meeting the Blues’ €40m price tag for the marksman.
Instead, Inter are planning to loan him for €5m with a mandatory €30m buy option. They want to pay the fee over four years.
The Blues may accept the proposal from the San Siro giants, considering Lukaku has no plans of joining another outfit.
He has rejected a move to rivals AC Milan while also refusing an approach from Al-Hilal from the Saudi Arabian Pro League.
Lukaku has snubbed a staggering salary of £650,000-a-week at Al-Hilal. He is ready to accept a pay-cut to join Inter instead.
