Arsenal are expected to finalise the signings of West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice and Ajax defender Jurrien Timber this week.
The Gunners agreed a deal worth £105m in principle with the Hammers for Rice last week. They are now close to finalising the payment terms.
Meanwhile, there is a verbal agreement in place with Ajax for Timber and a transfer worth £40m is expected to be finalised in the next 24 hours.
It is now revealed by Daily Mail that Arsenal have scheduled medical tests for both players, and they could be presented by the end of the week.Arsenal began pre-season training earlier today. The players are expected to arrive in different phases based on international duty.
The Gunners play their first friendly against Nurnberg on July 13. After this, they will make the trip to the United States for three friendlies.
They are expected to face MLS All-Stars, Manchester United and Barcelona before hosting AS Monaco at home in the Emirates Cup.
