Manchester United are set to confirm the arrival of Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount following his successful medical.
The Red Devils agreed to sign the 24-year-old from Chelsea last week for £55 million. The deal could rise to £60m.
He underwent his medical tests on Monday, and the Red Devils are now preparing to present him to the club’s faithful.
Mount posted his farewell message to Chelsea fans earlier today, and the club announcement could be made tomorrow.
The Englishman has been one of the best playmakers in the Premier League since making his debut for the Blues in 2019.
He had a difficult 2022/23 campaign with the Blues, and he will be keen to recapture his form after his transfer to United.
Aside from Mount, the Red Devils are actively looking to sign a new goalkeeper before they travel for their friendlies.
Inter Milan’s Andre Onana is the priority target for United, but they have yet to meet the €60m asking price to sign him.
