Manchester United have officially confirmed the arrival of midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea.
The Red Devils agreed a deal worth £60m with the Blues last week, and they have now formally confirmed Mount’s arrival.
The England international has put pen-to-paper on a five-year contract with the club with the option for another 12 months.
Mount will earn a basic salary of around £200,000-a-week, and it could rise to £250,000 weekly with performance add-ons.
United have had a slow start to the transfer window, but they will be aiming to speed up their activity in the coming weeks.
Talks are already underway with Inter Milan for goalkeeper Andre Onana while the Red Devils are also aiming to pursue a striker.
Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund is a top option for the club, though a deal won’t be easy due to the asking price of around £60m.
The Serie A outfit are clear that they won’t entertain lesser bids for the Dane, who has been likened to Erling Haaland.
