Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear that Romelu Lukaku must report for pre-season training next week.
The Belgian spent the previous campaign on loan with Inter Milan. He scored 14 goals and provided seven assists for the club.
The Nerazzurri are now looking to sign him permanently, but as things stand, they have not made any proposal to the Blues.
Hence, Lukaku is clearly a Chelsea player and Pochettino expects the striker to greet him in his office on July 12 or 13.
He said: “He needs to come back July 12/13 to be part of the squad to start pre-season.”
“With all the players that arrive, first thing that they’re doing is to come to my office and say hello.
“That’s what I expect if he’s still a Chelsea player.”
Inter are currently preparing a transfer offer, and they could make a formal bid after recouping funds from Andre Onana’s sale.
Onana is on the radar of Manchester United, and reports claim that they could sign him in a deal worth €55m by next week.
