Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund is reportedly pushing for a move to Manchester United during this summer’s transfer window.
The Denmark international is a boyhood United fan, and he recently admitted that he would be interested in a switch to Old Trafford.
It is now reported by Sport Italia that the 20-year-old is pushing for a transfer to United. Talks over the move could begin very soon.
The Red Devils are currently in advanced negotiations with Inter Milan for goalkeeper Andre Onana. He could arrive by next week.
Once they secured the deal, the club are expected to enter into discussions with Atalanta over the potential transfer of Hojlund.
The Serie A outfit currently value their prized asset in the region of £60m, but United are hoping to land his signature for £50m.
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Hojlund won’t hesitate to hand in a transfer request if Atalanta snub United’s proposal.
Erik ten Hag has earmarked Hojlund as his main striker target.
