Manchester United have set a huge asking price of £50 million for Harry Maguire amid interest from Tottenham and West Ham.
The England international had a poor campaign with the Red Devils last term. He was limited to only 16 starts across all competitions.
As a result, there has been speculation that he could be sold this summer, but Manchester Evening News claim that United have a different view.
The Red Devils are not actively looking to sell their club captain, and are only prepared to consider offers in the region of £50 million for him.
It is highly unlikely that any Premier League club will pay the fee. Maguire has been a fringe player, and United could put off potential suitors.
Aside from the asking price, United have another concern with Maguire’s contract. He is one of the highest earners at over £200,000-a-week.
United may need to hand him a significant pay-off such that he accepts a pay-cut elsewhere. Looking at this, Maguire could stay at United next term.
His current deal concludes in June 2025 with an option for 12 months.
