Real Madrid are reportedly considering an approach to sign Chelsea forward Kai Havertz this summer.
The European champions recently committed Karim Benzema to a new deal until the summer of 2024.
Despite this, they are eyeing a potential successor and it is claimed that Havertz is an option for them.
As per 90min, Los Blancos are keeping a close eye on the German’s situation for the next transfer window.
Havertz has had an underwhelming season at Chelsea, scoring just nine goals from 41 appearances to date.
He continues to be rated highly regardless of this and a number of clubs continue to be linked with him.
Bayern Munich have been long-term admirers of him and they could come up with a possible approach.
Madrid are also interested in his services and the final decision could depend on the hierarchy at Chelsea.
With plans to bring in a marquee striker, the Blues could look to part ways with Havertz to recoup transfer funds.
