Manchester United have finally reached an agreement with Inter Milan to sign goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer.
The Cameroon star has been United’s priority goalkeeper target, and the club are now expected to announce his arrival.
Onana has not travelled for his medical yet, but should do so soon with a deal already agreed over the transfer package.
The clubs are currently finalising the payment terms. The 27-year-old could travel to Manchester within the next 24 hours.
Onana should be a fantastic signing for the Red Devils. He is one of the best ball-playing shot-stoppers in world football.
He should be a huge upgrade on David de Gea, who has left on a free transfer after the expiry of his contract last month.
The former Ajax man is brilliant with the ball at his feet and also likes to make high claims and is very mobile in the box.
He should boost the club’s chances of competing for the Premier League title in Erik ten Hag’s second season in charge.
