Arsenal have committed to paying as much as £70 million to sign Kai Havertz from Chelsea this summer.
The north London giants reached an agreement with the Blues for the German this week, and he is expected to undergo his medical.
He could be presented as a new signing by Monday, and reports claim that the Gunners are paying much more than initially predicted.
It was recently reported that the Gunners had agreed a deal worth £60m with £5m in the form of bonuses.
However, the Daily Mail claim that the club have committed to paying a further £5m in the form of add-ons.
Havertz’s arrival has received a mixed reception from the fans, but manager Mikel Arteta has big plans for him.
The Gunners boss has faith in the German’s ability and has the belief of unlocking his full potential next term.
Havertz is expected to wear the number 29 shirt at Arsenal. He had the same jersey number at Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen.
