Arsenal have reportedly joined Chelsea in the race to sign Montpellier striker Elye Wahi this summer.
The Blues have identified Wahi as a top target, and they are planning to hold talks with the French outfit next week.
However, Foot Mercato claim that they could face competition from the Gunners in the race for the 20-year-old.
The Gunners have been keeping tabs on the youngster over the past year, and they could make an approach for him.
Meanwhile, the French outlet claim that the arrival of Wahi at the Emirates could coincide with Folarin Balogun’s exit.
Balogun had a fine season on loan with Reims last term with 22 goals, and he is now keen on playing regularly at the top level.
He has no assurances of that with the Gunners with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah ahead of him in the selection order.
It seems he could leave in the coming weeks. Wahi could be lined up as his successor after his 19-goal season in Ligue 1.
