Arsenal are considered as the most likely club to sign PSV Eindhoven attacker Xavi Simons this summer.
The Gunners are expected to spend big during the upcoming transfer window. A young forward is one of their main targets.
It is now reported by Voetbal International that the north London club could be Simons’ most likely destination this summer.
Simons has had a fascinating season with PSV. He has scored 22 goals and provided another 12 assists from 48 appearances.
The 20-year-old has the option to rejoin Paris Saint-Germain for €12m if he wishes but he is likely to give preference to game time.
Hence, Arsenal have a genuine chance of landing his signature but much could depend on the transfer demands of PSV.
PSV sold Cody Gakpo to Liverpool for around €40m but are expected to hold out for close to €50m to part ways with Simons.Arsenal could be reluctant to make such a huge outlay on a player, who won’t be a regular starter for them next season.Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus should be the front four next term when fit.
