Bayern Munich reportedly rejected the chance to sign Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana earlier this summer.
The German giants were on the hunt for a centre-back last month and Sport1 claim that Fofana was offered to them.
However, they did not make an approach for the Frenchman due to the significant transfer demands of Chelsea.
Fofana only recently recovered from a serious knee injury, and Bayern were wary of making a huge outlay on him.
The Bundesliga holders are currently on the verge of signing Kim Min-jae after triggering his €50m release clause.
The South Korean star was in tremendous form for Napoli in his debut season, and has now decided to move on.
He has been assured a significant salary increase at Bayern. He has snubbed Manchester United to join the Bavarian side.
Meanwhile, Fofana will be aiming to prove his credentials at Chelsea after an injury-plagued debut season with them.
The Frenchman has a lot of potential, but has yet to fulfil it with the Blues.
