Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi has opened the door to re-signing Chelsea defender Levi Colwill next season.
The Blues graduate had a fantastic loan spell with Huddersfield Town last term and he was subsequently loaned out to the Seagulls.
The 22-year-old has made 20 appearances for south Coast outfit this season and out of those, 11 have come from the starting line-up.
De Zerbi has now talked about the possibility of re-signing Colwill but admitted that the final decision could rest on Chelsea.
He said: “I hope Levi can play with us next year, but it’s the decision of Chelsea. We have to be ready to change some players, but he’s a top player for us.”Brighton are currently on 61 points for the season and they require one more win to guarantee a spot in the Europa League.
This would be a huge achievement for the club but there are big doubts whether they can keep hold of their top performers.
The likes of Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister could be sold.
