Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Villarreal striker Nicolas Jackson in a deal worth €37 million.
The Senegal international had an impressive breakthrough campaign with the La Liga outfit last season.
He netted 13 goals in an injury-plagued campaign. Out of those, nine came in the final eight league games.
The Blues have now secured his signing for €37m. He has put pen-to-paper on an eight-year contract.
Jackson is expected to work with the Blues in pre-season, but it is unclear whether he will lead the line.
The Blues are also working on landing a marquee striker and they have their sights on Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian is open to moving to the Premier League this summer, but won’t come on the cheap.
Napoli are expected to demand at least €150m to part ways with the highly-rated striker this summer.
Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain could also offer stiff competition in the race.
PSG could swoop for him if Kylian Mbappe heads for the exit door.
