Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic has made the permanent switch to Manchester City for £25 million plus add-ons.

The Croatia international was a key player for the west London giants, and he has now made the move to the Etihad Stadium.
The 29-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the Cityzens. He expressed his delight during his first interview at the club.
Kovacic said: “This is a brilliant move for me, and I cannot wait to get started with City. Anyone who has watched this team under Pep knows how good they are – for me, they are the best in the world.”
The midfielder captained the Blues during the back end of the season, but it was anticipated that he could head for the exit door.
His contract was due to expire in June 2024, and the lack of progress over a new deal meant that he had to pursue a new challenge.
Kovacic has now secured a big-money move to the English champions, and will be eyeing the opportunity to win plenty of trophies.
