Ajax defender Jurrien Timber will undergo his medical with Arsenal on Friday ahead of his summer transfer.
The Gunners recently secured a transfer agreement with Ajax for the defender and he travelled to London earlier today.
The 22-year-old will undergo his medical tests on Friday morning, and he could be unveiled to the fans by Saturday.
Timber has the ability to play in central defence or at right-back. He is regarded as one of the best distributors.
It has been reported that he could operate as an inverted right-back for the Gunners. Ben White could drop to the bench.
Alongside Timber, Arsenal are also working on finalising the club-record transfer of Declan Rice from West Ham United.
The England international is also expected to have his medical tomorrow. His transfer could be announced pretty soon.Arsenal have already spent over £200m in the transfer market, but they could make more signings later on in the window.
The current focus is on recouping funds from sales. Granit Xhaka left the club earlier today to join Bayer Leverkusen for £21m.
