Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has blocked the departure of Tom Heaton to Luton Town this summer.
Heaton has been a back-up goalkeeper at United for the past few seasons, but he is now eyeing regular game time.
The Englishman has been offered the opportunity at newly-promoted Luton, but Ten Hag has blocked his exit for now.
United are currently on the verge of losing David de Gea when his contract expires at the end of the current month.
Talks are underway with Inter Milan for Andre Onana. The 27-year-old could become United’s new number one.
Meanwhile, New England Revolution goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic has been identified as a second-choice behind Onana.
Once United manage to secure deals for both players, Ten Hag could be willing to permit the departure of Heaton to Luton.Dean Henderson is also present in the squad, but he has made the decision to leave the club. He prefers to rejoin Nottingham Forest permanently.
