Barcelona were initially interested in re-signing the former Arsenal man, but they can’t afford to pay a transfer fee for now.
The La Liga outfit are facing financial restrictions from La Liga, and they won’t be permitted to spend until the New Year.
Amidst this, Relevo claim that Marseille have entered the hunt for the experienced star, but talks are ongoing with Chelsea.
The Ligue 1 outfit are prepared to pay a nominal fee for Aubameyang, but a transfer would depend on the striker’s willingness.
Aubameyang may have to accept a significant cut on his wages such that he can make the switch to France with Marseille.
