Inter Milan have ended their interest in signing Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Nerazzurri re-signed the Belgian on loan last season. He had a decent campaign with 14 goals and seven assists.
The club recently confirmed that they would attempt to re-sign him permanently, but their pursuit has now ended.
Di Marzio reports that Lukaku was in contact with Juventus prior to the Champions League final earlier last month.
The Nerazzurri have now found out about the same, and trust issues have urged them to end their interest in the striker.
Juventus are now in pole position to land the former Manchester United man, but a deal depends on Dusan Vlahovic’s exit.
The Bianconeri are hoping to sanction the Serbian’s departure by August 4, but there is no concrete interest at the current point of time.
In the worst case scenario, they could end up keeping him which could indirectly affect Chelsea’s plans of offloading Lukaku.
