Manchester City are likely to sign Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic before the end of the month, according to Standard Sport.
The Cityzens have already agreed personal terms with the Croatian, and talks are now underway with the Blues over the fee.
The Blues are looking for £40 million for the 29-year-old, but the Cityzens are optimistic of landing him for around £35m.
Meanwhile, it is anticipated that a deal could be struck before June 30 as the Blues are desperate to balance their financial books.
The London giants spent close to £600m in signings last summer, and they are eager to include sales before the financial year closes.
Aside from Kovacic, the likes of Mason Mount and Kai Havertz are expected to head for the exit door before the month ends.
Mount could join Manchester United in the next two weeks while Havertz seems likely to make the switch to London rivals Arsenal.
The duo could be sold for £60m apiece this summer.
