Manchester United are keeping tabs on Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio, who is also on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar.
The Red Devils are likely to invest on a new centre-back this summer with the possibility of Harry Maguire heading for the exit door.
Napoli star Kim Min-jae is reportedly the main target, but the club have also been regularly linked with an approach for Inacio.
The 21-year-old is one of the best young defenders in European football, and he could pursue a bigger challenge during the summer.
Inacio currently has a release clause worth €45m in his contract, and he has refused to increase that value by signing an improved deal.
Hence, Sporting are braced for his potential exit. United are closely following him but they are not alone in the transfer race.
Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United are also hot on the trail of Inacio, who is eyeing Champions League football next term.Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the past, but they are currently focused on bolstering their central midfield department.
