Manchester United could offer Harry Maguire as part of the transfer for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount this summer.
Mount has been identified as the top midfield target for manager Erik ten Hag and he is keen on signing him as soon as possible.
The 24-year-old has already agreed personal terms but United still need to finalise a transfer fee with the west London giants.
According to The Sun, the Blues value their graduate at around £70m which is much higher than United’s £40m valuation of him.
Hence, an agreement is far from being reached and United could propose to include Maguire in a part-exchange deal for Mount.
Maguire was on the radar of Chelsea last summer before they signed Kalidou Koulibaly from Serie A giants Napoli.
The Blues are no longer interested in Maguire but United are nonetheless looking to persuade them with a part-exchange deal.
Maguire is widely expected to leave the Red Devils this summer. West Ham United and Inter Milan are among his main admirers.
