Manchester United could secure the signing of Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana tomorrow, according to Sport Mediaset.
The Cameroonian has been identified as the successor to David de Gea, and talks are currently advanced with the Nerazzurri.
United are planning to make a fresh bid close to Inter’s €60m price tag tomorrow, and it is predicted that could seal the deal.
Onana has agreed terms over a €134,000-a-week contract with the Red Devils. A move should be a formality when the fee is agreed.
The 27-year-old would be a fantastic acquisition for United. He is one of the best ball-playing goalkeepers in world football.
The former Ajax man is strong with the ball at his feet, but also likes to make high claims. He can go direct with quality long balls.
Onana can also operate as a sweeper-keeper. He could be influential in stopping counter-attacks from the opposition next term.
He is an upgrade on De Gea, who was unconvincing last season. The Spaniard has left the club after his contract expired on June 30.
