Manchester United have identified Ajax star Mohammed Kudus as a potential alternative to Chelsea ace Mason Mount.
The Red Devils have been in regular talks with the Blues for the 24-year-old, but they are yet to finalise a transfer fee.
They are reluctant to increase on their latest bid of £55m and Chelsea have been offered time to reconsider the offer.
If there is no fruitful response, United are ready to look elsewhere and reports claim that they are considering Kudus.
The Ghanaian had an injury-plagued spell under Erik ten Hag at Ajax, but last season, he was a key player for his club.
The 22-year-old amassed 18 goals and six assists and it is now claimed that United could make an approach for his services.
Kudus has played on the right wing or up front for the Dutch club lately, but he was a central midfielder earlier in his career.
Ten Hag may have plans of playing him in the same position, considering his work rate and ability to win regular duels.
