Manchester United have identified Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund as their top striker target, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils have already signed Mason Mount from Chelsea this summer, and they are currently focusing on Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Talks are well advanced with the Nerazzurri for the Cameroonian, and it is anticipated that an agreement could be reached before the weekend.
Once a deal is secured, the club are expected to step up their pursuit of Hojlund, who has already given the go-ahead to join the club.
The Dane is a boyhood United fan, and he recently admitted in an interview that he would be delighted to make the switch to Old Trafford.
United are yet to make any transfer offer, according to Romano, but they could enter into talks with Atalanta after Onana’s deal is closed.
Hojlund scored only nine goals for Atalanta last term, but he has been dubbed as the new Erling Haaland for his immense potential.
