Manchester United are lining up a summer approach for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils are aiming to bolster their striking department this summer, and they have earmarked Harry Kane as the top target.
However, Tottenham have no plans of selling him to them, and United are likely to look at alternative options in the transfer market.
Romano claims that Hojlund is one of the strikers on the club’s wishlist and the club could make a formal approach for him soon.
Hojlund has been likened to Erling Braut Haaland for his playing style.
He is a powerful left-footed striker who has pace and good finishing skills.
The Dane scored 16 goals and provided seven assists last season, and he could be prised away from Atalanta for £50-60 million.
United are currently leading the pursuit of him. Hojlund recently said that he would welcome joining a ‘huge club’ of United’s calibre.
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on the 20-year-old, who has the potential to become a world-class striker.
