Manchester United have made an opening bid to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer.
The Red Devils recently decided against renewing David de Gea’s contract and he is now a free-agent.
Onana has been identified to replace him, but the club have yet to finalise an agreement with Inter Milan.
They have made an opening proposal of €40m plus €5m in add-ons which is expected to be rejected.
The Nerazzurri want €60m for their prized asset, and are willing to accept around €50m as a fixed fee.
Onana has already agreed personal terms with United, and he is waiting for the club to sort out the fee.
If United can’t afford to sign him, the 27-year-old is happy to continue with the Nerazurri for another year.
Onana is also on the radar of Saudi giants Al Nassr, but he has a clear preference to continue in Europe.Chelsea were previously keen on landing him, but they have turned their focus to signing Diogo Costa.
