Manchester United have made an opening bid to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount this summer.
The Red Devils have identified Mount as their priority target and they have already agreed terms with him.
According to The Telegraph, the club have now made an opening offer worth £50m to land his services.
The proposal is expected to be rejected by the Blues, who are looking in upwards of £70m for their graduate.
Mount will enter the final year of his Blues contract next month and he has no plans of penning a new extension.
In our view, the Blues are likely to consider his sale by the end of June such that they can balance their financial books.
Hence, they are likely to lower their demands in the coming days such that an agreement can be found with United.Arsenal and Liverpool have also expressed an interest in landing Mount, but he has the preference to join the Red Devils.
