Manchester United midfielder Fred has opened the door to leaving the club during the upcoming transfer window.
The Brazilian had a mixed season with the Red Devils and he was largely on the bench for the Premier League games.
Ahead of the summer, Fred has been linked with a move to Fulham. When asked about his future, he admitted uncertainty.
He told TNT Sports: “Of course I always want to be playing, to be helping my team, and gladly today I started, and I think we played well.”
“I still don’t know, I have to talk with my family. I still have one year left on my contract here. I’ll talk to my staff, to the club, and see what everyone’s decision is.”
Fred’s contract was due to expire in the summer of 2023, but United exercised the 12-month extension clause in his deal.
Hence, he has another year remaining on his contract. United are expected to sell him rather than negotiating a possible renewal.Fulham could be his next destination. United may look for a fee of around £20 million to sanction the midfielder’s sale.
