Manchester United could make a shock approach to sign Porto striker Mehdi Taremi in the current transfer window.

The Red Devils have already spent £55m on Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount and a further £43m is required for Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana.
As a result, their funds are limited at the moment and A Bola claim that United could pursue a low-cost option to bolster the strike force.
Taremi has been on their radar for a number of years, and the club could make an approach to sign him from Porto in the forthcoming weeks.
The Iranian was on the radar of Al-Hilal earlier last month, but he has rejected them in order to continue with another European outfit.
United boss Erik ten Hag is apparently a huge admirer of him, and a deal could materialise if they are willing to pay around £17m.
Taremi was in sensational form for Porto last season. He netted 31 goals and provided another 14 assists for the Primeira Liga side.
