Manchester United are pressing to sign Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund during this summer’s transfer window.
The Dane is regarded as one of the best young strikers in world football and he had a brilliant 2022/23 campaign.
Hojlund registered 21 goals and seven assists for club and country, and he has been touted for a bigger challenge.
As per Corriere della Sera, United are in constant contact with Atalanta but they are yet to finalise an agreement.
Their opening offer of €35m was rejected by the Serie A outfit, and they may need to pay around €60m to land him.
Atalanta had a disappointing end to the Serie A campaign and they are likely to part ways with their prized asset.
With the lack of Champions League football, they could be forced to make a big-money sale to balance their books.
United are in the front seat to land Hojlund, but there is also interest from the likes of Bayern Munich and Chelsea in him.
