Manchester United are set to trigger the release clause of Napoli defender Kim Min-jae this summer, as per Il Mattino.
The South Korean star has been a revelation for the Serie A outfit, registering 16 clean sheets from 35 league matches.
He has been pivotal to their title success but he is widely expected to move on when his release clause becomes active.
His €60m foreign buy-out clause will be active from July 1-15 and United are ready to trigger the option immediately.
United have already made contact with the defender’s representatives and the centre-back has given the green light for a move.
He was initially hesitant over a transfer but United’s qualification for the Champions League has now convinced him.
Min-jae is unlikely to be announced as a United player until July 1 at least, though the transfer window reopens in mid-June.
The South Korean is expected to report for military training this month which is a mandatory process in his country.
